Dendera temple is about 65 km far from Luxor, it is the best-preserved temple in Egypt, dedicated to the caw goddess Hathor. the goddess of motherhood, she is the mother of the gods and kings of ancient Egypt, the temple was built during the greco-roman period in Egypt around 237BC.Queen Cleopatra with Julius Caesar were depicted at the back wall of the temple and the famous zodiac is covering the temple ceiling, it is fascinating piece of ancient astronomy, Ancient Egyptians believe that the sky goddess nut swallows the sun disk every evening and giving birth to it every morning.
